Aux commandes du bateau, le pilote dit qu'habituellement il conduit le bus. Mais quand Truman a voulu aller à chicago, le même chauffeur s'est révélé être aussi manche au volant du bus qu'à la barre du bateau.

Observation
Truman ne doit pas quitter le studio, pour ça on l'a traumatisé enfant avec la noyade de son père et il a peur de l'eau. Pourtant à la fin il part avec un petit bateau à voile. Mais puisque Truman n'était pas censé prendre la mer, pourquoi avoir créé un dispositif permettant de provoquer une tempête et pourquoi avoir truffé le bateau de caméras ?

Observation
Quand toute l'équipe part nuitamment à la recherche de Truman, les bruits de pas sont enregistrés : c'est un bruit de marche militaire alors que personne ne semble marcher au pas cadencé.

Ed harris précise que la "zone" du Truman Show est la 2ème création humaine visible depuis l'espace, avec la Muraille de Chine. Or, malgré la culture populaire, la célèbre muraille n'est en aucun cas visible de l'espace.

Quand le projecteur tombe du ciel, Truman lève la tête et voit le ciel bleu alors que dans le trailer, le ciel est en partie déchirée (ce détail a dû être modifié au montage pour justifier que Truman n'ai pas de soupçon plus tôt dans le film).

Quand le projecteur tombe du ciel, un plan général du quartier de Trueman montre qu'il n'y a aucunes ombres portées des maisons ou des véhicules sur les rues. La lumière ambiante est très diffuse, alors que quand le projecteur tombe au sol, toutes les ombres portées sont très visible, la lumière ambiante est très forte. D'ailleurs, le projecteur semble être tombé dans la zone d'ombre d'un des éléments du décor, mais lors du plan de l'impact au sol, la zone est parfaitement éclairée.
